The company also has minority interests in home shopping businesses in Japan and China. In addition to selling merchandise like home goodsand apparel, jewelry, electronics, health and beauty products, coupon books, and more, it also provides lending services, event ticketing services, a time-share exchange, an online marketplace established to help consumers to connect with US-based real estate agents and brokerages, online networking and matchmaking services, several City-Guide websites, and an online marketplace that connects consumers with pre-screened home service professionals. The company, formerly known as Silver King Broadcasting Company, Inc., changed its name to HSN, Inc. in 1996; to USA Networks, Inc. in 1998; to USA Interactive in 2002, to InterActiveCorp in 2003, and finally, to IAC/InterActiveCorp in 2004.
