Zinc Description Update
Zinc is a metallic chemical element. Zinc can be found in such products as zinc lozenges, zinc shoes, zinc tablets, and zinc cream. Zinc is recyclable and has non-toxic properties which makes it environmentally friendly. The production of zinc includes froth flotation of the ore, roasting, and final extraction using electricity. Zinc has a hexagonal crystal structure and is less dense than iron. It has the lowest melting point of all transition metals besides mercury and cadmium. There are five isotopes in zinc that occur in nature. Most of the metalloids and all the nonmetals except the noble gases are binary compounds of zinc.
