Types of milk vary in terms of the percentage of fat, as there are several options including soy milk, or fat free milk. Calcium is a major ingredient in milk, and it helps in bone growth. Health benefits in milk include good bone health, healthy skin, and a strong immune system. It helps prevent diseases such as hypertension, tooth and mouth decay, dehydration, respiratory problems, obesity, osteoporosis, and some forms of cancer. One downside of milk is its short shelf life, as it curdles after several days. Milk can also be combined with chocolate or strawberry syrup for flavor.
