A major source of protein comes from pork, which is made from hogs. Hogs are animals raised in large quantity all over and are a main source of food. Hogs are used to make bacon, sausage, pork chops and other pork products. A hog's head is used for making head cheese, which is a preserved jelly. Most parts of the hog's body can be used for some source of food. There are people that eat the hog's feet, liver, chitterlings and blood.
