Dear David,
Very interesting resource. I think it has a great potential.
I just started looking this resources and do not research it completelly, but have some recomendations for multiple valuation.
1. I would try to add regression analysis in comparative valuation. everything is done, you have all the data you just need to write some formulas. If you want I can send you examples.
2. I think it is better for financials to use price to book and ev/book multiples with ROE and ROA.
As for questions. Can you please clarify what are assumptions for future revenue growth rates? How you come up wth this figures?
Regards,
Teimuraz
Hello Teimuraz,
1. Thank you for the help on the multiple valuations. Can you please send your examples to moc.htlaewikiw|ofni#moc.htlaewikiw|ofni? I agree that a regression analysis is a good addition.
2. You are right about financials using p/b and ev/b ratios. Due to how our template is constructed and our data feeds, we may not be able to implement that change right now, but we will definite use those ratios as soon as possible.
3. We use a combination of analyst reports, historical data and macro-economic analysis to forecast future growth rates and margins. We are very transparent about those numbers, because we want everyone to have an opinion. Additionally, we allow users to experiment with the model, because analyst like yourself may have better information than we do about the potential of a company.
I hope this helps,
Dave
