Tesoro refines and markets petroleum products in the US. Its operations are concentrated in the mid-continental and western US via its two divisions: Refining and Retail Refining produces gasoline and gasoline blendstocks, jet fuel, diesel fuel, and heavy fuel oils. These are sold to their commercial customer base. It also manufactures liquefied petroleum gas, petroleum coke, and asphalt. The company operated 7 refineries with a combined capacity of approximately 658,000 barrels per day by the 2007 years end. Retail sells gasoline and diesel fuel at its 911 company-operated retail stations; and to third-party branded jobber/dealers, wholesale and retail customers, and commercial end-users.
