The TPG Capital Investment Group, formerly known as the Texas Pacific Group, is one of the largest private equity investment groups in the world. While the company offers services such as investments in growth capital, venture capital, and debt investments, they also have stake in major consumer retail businesses and also major media and telecommunications companies. TPG is headquartered in San Francisco, California and has more than a dozen other offices located in eight other countries. TPG was started in 1992 and since then has been able to raise more than $50 billion dollars across more than nearly 20 private equity funds.
